With the door unlocked see if the outside handle cable is operating correctly. The driver s door on my 2005 mini cooper s won t open using the inside handle. When i picked up the vehicle i noticed my micro fiber towel was taken out of the glove box. The second pull should then open the door.

Use the push rod to lock the door. The window has slipped off the track and requires adjustment. Pull the interior handle once to see if it unlocks the door. The door does unlock from the electronic toggle switch and can be opened manually from the outside handle.

You have a defective door handle catch. If all this is working fully secure the actuator to the door by tightening the torx screws to hand tight about 14 lb ft. However if the door handle lights fall under the welcome lights rather than courtesy lights the welcome lights function has to be enabled in the settings. I ve had the door panel off but can t quite see where the cable is loose or off.
